The Department of Labor of a Southeastern State needed a complete overhaul of their Unemployment Insurance system. They had employed a major computer hardware company to consult on software development for over two years with unsatisfactory results.
WHAT WE WERE ASKED TO DO   Assist them in their re-engineering effort by way of consulting and training.		APPROACH TAKEN   Conducted a series of user-centric Joint Development Approach sessions with the Assistant Commissioner, Directors and project team. It was followed by a series of training courses (Process Modeling, Data Modeling, Object Modeling, Process Design, and Event Modeling) to the project team members. An incremental development strategy was adopted.
RESULT   Within six months, the first two increments were both delivered on time and within budget. The project is on its way to another success. We continue to consult and teach courses for the Department of Labor.
